Children's Choir and Youth Schola

We are always looking for new members
and
newcomers are welcome at any time. Please join us!

Our Lady's Children's Choir sings every Sunday at the 9 am Mass and at first Friday school Masses held throughout the year.

The Children's Choir is made up of children from Our Lady's Academy as well as children from Our Lady's Parish. Kindergartners through eighth graders are welcome, though we encourage students to wait until first grade unless they have siblings in the choir.

By singing in the children's choir, students gain a greater appreciation for the Word of God and learn that active participation in the Mass not only makes Mass more enjoyable but brings them into a more intimate relationship with God. The congregation also benefits from hearing the children's voices being raised in praise of God.

Youth Schola
Our Lady’s Youth Schola encompasses middle school and high school students. Any youth interested in joining this contemporary/Christian as well as church music Schola are encouraged to attend. We look forward to seeing you at our next rehearsal.

Rehearsals
Our choir rehearses every Wednesday with Mr. Fallon from 2:15-3:15 pm. Students meet in the front office conference room and we walk together over to the church. Children should be picked up from the church at 3:15. If your children are in the After-School Program at Our Lady's, we will return them to that program after rehearsal. (We do not rehearse on the first Wednesday of the month, the half-day Wednesdays.)

We also rehearse in the church every Sunday morning at 8:15 am before the 9 o'clock Mass. If your children can only make one of the two weekly rehearsals, please try to join us on Sunday mornings as we sing and worship together.

If your children attend Our Lady's Academy but you worship at a different parish on Sundays, your children are still welcome to join our choir. We would love to see them at Wednesday rehearsals so that they can sing with us at First Friday school Masses and other school events.
