Upcoming Catechism Seminar

What is it? - A six-week seminar will be offered for parishioners of Our Lady's Parish this autumn to foster learning and understanding of the Catholic faith.

Where will it be? - It will take place at the school conference room, the first room to the right as you enter the main entrance of the school.

When will it take place? - The meetings will be after the 11:00am Mass on the Sundays of Oct 19 and 26 and Nov 2, 9, 16 and 23. They will begin around 12:15pm and end in an hour.

How will it be accomplished? - As a wellspring of the Catholic faith, the Catechism of the Catholic Church will be the primary book used. Please obtain a personal copy. Because six weeks of time is not enough to cover the breath and scope of the entire Catechism, the meetings will be held in a seminar style. Parishioners attending the meetings are encouraged to bring topics and questions on the Catechism that they would like to learn more about. One of the parish clergy will offer some insight and provide opportunity for conversation. Please be mindful that the conversation will be moderated by a clergyman because of the short time frame and many topics to discuss. We'll discuss the first 460 paragraphs of the Catechism during the first class on Oct 19.

Why go? - By increasing our knowledge and understanding of the Catholic faith, we equip ourselves with the tools we need to receive the greatest possible gift: to spend eternity with God.
